This is a lovely pair of mid 19th century, circa 1850 pearl ware Sunderland lustre plates. The plates feature a very naive style drawing of a house and trees, the outer rim of the plates decorated with embossed flowers. Each plate measures 18cm in diameter. There is no makers mark, not uncommon for Sunderland lustre, just a mark of the painter. The plates are in very good condition. One plate has a couple of chips to the base rim of the plate and apart from fine crazing commensurate with age are otherwise undamaged. Would fit a country or shabby chic decor nicely.
