This is a lovely set of three Old Sheffield Plate salts. The production of Old Sheffield Plate occurred from the latter part of the 18th century until approx the 1840s and was the first form of silver plate. These salts are regency. They are unmarked which is not uncommon, as for a period of time it was illegal to mark OSP in case it was confused with sterling silver pieces. They each have a blue glass liner. Each salt stands 4.5cm in height and approx 8cm in length. Fabulous.
